-Why is Physical Fitness a Personal Matter?
-Because when you look good, you feel good about yourself!
-How do some people neglect their health by choosing not to participate in physical activity?
- By not choosing to participate in physical fitness, your are damaging yourself. If you stay inside all day on the couch watching tv or playing video games, you just set yourself up for things such as being overweighted or obese. This can be stopped by simply getting up and going outside. Even if you possibly live in a bad neighborhood and cant go outside, watch tv while running on the treadmill!
-What are the primary health risk factors, and which ones may be controlled?
-Some of the primary health risk factors include obesity, smoking, and blood pressure. Obesity and smoking are controllable if you try. You can work out to reduce obesity. Smoking can be stopped before it even happens.
-What benifits are gained by exercising?
-You can look better and feel better. It improves your apperance and increases your energy to do more things.
-What is the relationship between wellness and personal fitness?
-Wellness is how you feel in fitness and in health. Personal fitness is the feeling of being able to function in normal life such as lifting, running, and holding a simple conversation.
-What is a personal fitness program (PFP)?
-A personal fitness program is a program for excersice that fits to you. If you can only do 3 push ups, a PFP can start you off with what you can do and help you improve to better further yourself in fitness.
